The least used kitchen appliance varies from home to home, but there are some items that tend to collect dust more than others. One of these is the baked potato cooker. While it might seem like a time-saving gadget for the potato lover, most people find it easier to just pop a potato in the microwave or oven. Other appliances that often go unused include the electric wok, cappuccino maker, ice cream maker, rotisserie, sandwich press, wine opener, and ice shaver.
Some other appliances that aren’t necessarily the least used but might not be getting full use include:
Blender – great for smoothies and soups, but can also be used to whip cream, make nut butter, and even grind coffee beans
Food Processor – can be used to chop vegetables, make homemade salsa or hummus, and even make pastry dough or pie crust
Crockpot/Slow Cooker – perfect for busy days when you want to set it and forget it, but can also be used for making soups, stews, and even desserts
Remember, just because an appliance might not be getting much use doesn’t mean it’s not useful. Some items might just require a little more creativity in the kitchen.
